I realized recently that I needed to focus my objectives with this experiment.
I want to accomplish so much, but in order to be successful at "Selfless Success", I needed to pick 1 primary goal and win at it. I needed to make up my mind when it comes to defining what the ‘next level’ means to me.
So, after comparing the many goals I've envisioned and mentioned, I narrowed things down to my TOP GOAL:
- To become fully confident and “out of my shell”… in everything I do and say. To become free of the silly fears (and reactionary emotions) that keep me from fully expressing my true self. To sing loud and clear with my new-found VOICE
(I realize there are three things in the above... but they are all saying about the same thing.)
Achieving this goal will involve gaining a focused, clear message and vision; a focused self.
It will involve active integrity - actively giving to the cause(s) I am passionate about.
It will involve being fit and healthy.
It will involve being happy in the now and improving every day.
But the main test of failure or success will be: Am I remarkably more confident, giving and loving without holding back at all.
As this confident, clear, contributing self, I will fully launch (with deep understanding) into the next phase of my life.
What This “76 Days” is NOT
So I wish I had carved away even more. But at least I realized one major topic that would have to wait until after the 76-day experiment is complete: marketing.
This experiment is not about online marketing, or how to build a great business (in itself).
In this process of focusing, I also clarified my core values. In a previous post, I mentioned that they were learning, creativity, and recognition. I have a new, better understanding of what is most important to me.
MY VALUES (revisited)
- I value FOCUS and SEEING CLEARLY
- I value AUTHENTICITY (doing what you love, staying true)
- I value SELF-IMPROVEMENT (learning)
- I value CONNECTION
- I value BOLDNESS; having a “Just do it” / “Go for it” spirit
- I value PERSONAL EXCELLENCE – being your best
Okay, just wanted to share this newly clarified vision and mission. Now, since I walked New York City for hours and hours today, I'm going to call it a night.
I'm excited to see if you can focus your vision too. Let me know how it goes.
