Latte and Her Lion Cut

Few people know that I am a major animal lover. In particular, I love pets (except for the fact that they often destroy one's furniture). I have had several cats and dogs in my life. Currently I have a bird - a female cockatiel named Duncan and a Himalayan  cat (named Latte because she is colored like the drink which is so prevalent where I live).

Yesterday I took Latte in for a hair cut, to both help her stay cool during the summer and ease her discomfort caused by matted fur. I wanted to share the following Before and After photos so you too can enjoy her new "lion cut":

When photographing the After version just a few minutes ago, I noticed that her face was very dark. A common problem. To remedy this, I attached my external flash unit and a Gary Fong Lightsphere II Inverted Dome Diffusor to soften the otherwise harsh flash. As you can see in this resulting photo, this is a winning combination of accessories.

Oh my gosh how cute!!
I am an animal lover too and Latte is gorgeous before and after. She does look like a little lioness with that hair cut. Thanks for sharing it with us Jim.

How precious! I have four cats at home and they are my children. :D Used to have 8 pets in the house : 2 large dogs and 6 cats.

The place does look a little scratched up but we're a happy bunch.
