Hi Friends!
I hope you've had a wonderful week of photography! I am at a photography conference in Florida called FotoFusion this week and asked my friend Kerry Drager to share photos and techniques with you in our weekly BetterPhoto Digital Photography Show.
In today's podcast, #5, Kerry discusses the creative use of the wide-angle lens. His photo examples include a Before and After sequence that demonstrates the key to wide-angle success: Think foreground and move in close.
In the Before image, you can see just how close Kerry's camera is to the subject. The result - shown in the After image - is an almost three-dimensional effect. The lesson? Don't be afraid to use your wide-angle to tell a visual story, by including both a nearby foreground and a distant background all in the same photograph.
