Happy Monday Everyone!
As my first blog entry, I thought I'd ramble about the BetterPhoto Contest. This month's theme is Roaring Lions and Funny Cats.
The monthly theme is a fun category because you can really do anything you like with it - unlike the other categories, you are not locked into one particular subject or style.
For example, you might enjoy taking one of your not-so-great cat photos and play with it in Photoshop. Although the subject doesn't fit for this month's theme, here's an image of a rooster Jim played with in Photoshop. I've always been amused by it:

Also, if you have a photo studio at home and a cooperative cat, it could be a great opportunity to practice both skill and patience to try and get some funny cat pictures. Here's another image from the archives of our cat, Latte. The backdrop is just a big piece of white seamless paper.
